Falconry Experience Courses in Scotland

One of the most wonderful ways to explore the gardens, grounds and stunning countryside around the hotel is in the company of these wonderful birds of prey on one of our falconry experience courses.

From Barnny the Barn Owl to Jess the magnificent golden eagle also JD the Harris hawk, Odoe the European eagle owl and Storm the Saker falcon.

The courses are run all year round and are very hands on, given by some of the best falconers in Scotland from the award-winning Front Line Falconry team.

Each falconry experience course from the half day to the two day course involves meeting, handling, learning about and flying these beautiful birds. There really is no more life enhancing & exhilarating experience than interacting with them in their own habitat. We cater for everyone from the absolute beginner to the experienced enthusiast and all those in between.

Half Day Falconry Experience Course
£85 for one person

£60.00 per person (minimum two people)
This is an opportunity to really learn about handling birds of prey. Time will be spent learning about the birds, their habitat, feeding habits and the equipment needed to fly them. The second half of the course will involve free-flying the birds.

1 Day Falconry Experience Course
£110.00 per person
Expanding on the ½ day course, this day follows the same pattern at the outset. After lunch the birds are taken out into the countryside for some larger scale free-flying or hunting.

Expanded Falconry Experience Courses
2 Days - £220.00 per person
This course expands on the knowledge given in the shorter courses and acts as a broad spectrum introduction to keeping birds of prey and owls. And also includes making some of the Falconers equipment as well as free flying a falcon at the end of the of the second day.
